Hole In The Wall Wine Club

15.06.2010

CONGRATS to all those who successfully completed the two 5-in-5 courses at the Hole In The Wall on Blackhorse Avenue.

Many of you have already applied for the Intermediate course - starting on September 13. If you have not applied please do so soonest because the course will fill up quickly.

Another 5-in-5 begins on August 23rd, so if you know anyone who might be interested point them in the direction of Caroline in Hole In The Wall. The course price is €75 - still a real bargain for 30 wines and food over five weeks.

VALUE DROP: Brown Brothers Chenin Blanc 2007, Australia (€10.99 widely available). Tropical fruit aromas. Wonderfully crisp palate with nice apple and melon flavours.

TOP DROP: Domaine Des Lauriers Picpoul Prestige 2009 Languedoc (€11.99 independents). They are sipping this loacl wine by the truckload down along the French Med. Great with oysters. Crisp and tangy with lovely mineral hints.
